Wilmington Achieves Real-Time As-Builts with ArcGIS Field Maps & Arrow GNSS Receivers
The City of Wilmington’s outdated process for water main replacements created long delays, with CAD files taking over a year to deliver and requiring time-intensive manual processing to integrate into GIS. Data inaccuracies and inefficiencies plagued the system. By adopting the Eos Arrow Gold GNSS receiver and ArcGIS Field Maps, contractors now capture as-built data directly into GIS feature classes with centimeter-level accuracy, enabling same-day data access and eliminating manual conversions.
