Land Logics Group President Sally Holbert will speak on September 29 on Knowing your Chemical Footprint – Geospatial Innovation for IPM Programs. The presentation is open to all registrants at the virtual conference. Learn more and register here.
The session takes place at 2pm CDT.
Abstract text: Location-based data add value to integrated pest management programs by answering the questions where, when, and how much insecticide and pesticide are being used throughout an organization. Achieving sustainability in pest management for some organizations means reducing an organizations total chemical footprint in the environment by reducing chemical usage and implementing other strategies for pest management. But where is the balance? GIS helps to answer this question and improve decision making in complex environments with cloud based geospatial data management.
Leveraging geospatial technology with digital data of Integrated Pest Management activities along with Satellite based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) can result in tremendous strides in reaching sustainability goals for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs from paper to digital for greater protection of public health and safety to enhanced decision making and adaptive management of invasive species.
