LLG worked with state and federal partners to engage local officials, residents and developers in four municipalities in Perry County, PA, to better protect the region’s rich natural and cultural heritage through a regional approach to land use planning.
The study area included two historic river towns and two agricultural townships.
For this project, LLG provided the following services:
- Conducted a smart growth audit of existing codes and policies
- Examined current patterns of development and explored alternative patterns using GIS tools, such as build-out analysis maps
- Conducted a series of interactive educational workshops designed to promote a collaborative approach to land use planning and development
