Land Logics Group (LLG) provided master planning, grant writing, design and construction inspection services to Red Lion Borough for a recreation and park development project at the existing site of Fairmount Memorial Park, one of the highest elevation points in York County, PA. The project was awarded one of PA DCNR’s top 10 “Green Projects” in 2013.
Design of the park included the following elements:
- New 4,000 sq.ft. Splash Park
- New restrooms, changing room and picnic pavilion
- Pedestrian design providing ample sidewalk widths and soft path connections that link residential blocks to park open space areas
- ADA upgrades for accessibility
- Green infrastructure to manage stormwater
- Rainwater harvesting
- Water recirculation and wastewater reuse
