LLG led a strategic planning process with local officials and residents from Blain Borough, Perry County, PA, to develop a Source Water Protection Plan. LLG used GIS analysis to identify priority protection zones and potential contaminant threats.
The plan was created as a result of a manure contamination event, which ended reliance on a small spring that served as Blain’s primary source of public drinking water.
LLG evaluated existing land uses, identified potential contaminant sources, and created an action plan to protect local sources of drinking water.
